About ULC Load 3.0
ULC Load is a tool to create load on ULC based applications. During a test run, ULC Load logs various performance data. The logged performance data lets you judge the scalability of your ULC application. In particular, ULC Load enables you to:
- Record a scenario consisting of a sequence of user interactions.
- Review the recorded scenario with a graphical user interface.
- Parameterize the recorded scenario
e.g. parameterize the user name and password of a login dialog.
- Replay the parameterized scenario with an arbitrary number of virtual users.
- Measure and analyze performance data.
ULC Load integrates into Apache Jakarta's JMeter load test infrastructure, leveraging the existing functionality of this infrastructure, e.g. easy visualization and analysis of load test results, easy load test distribution to increase load. The JMeter integration is build on top of ULC Loads Java API. You can use this Java API to integrate ULC Load into other load test infrastructures or you can go without integration and directly implement your load tests on top of this Java API in a similar way as you implement your unit tests using JUnit.
- Java Runtime
ULC Load requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.4.2 or later. It should run on any platform that supports JRE 1.4.2 or later.
ULC Load requires UltraLightClient 6.1.3 or later. ULC Load does not run with earlier versions of UltraLightClient.
